How to clean stainless steel cooker hood?

The importance of cleaning your appliance's filters on a regular basis cannot be overstated. Failure to carry out frequent cleaning of both the cooker hood and the filters can increase the risk of fires. While the frequency of your cleaning routine will depend on how often you use the appliance, we suggest cleaning your hood's filters on a monthly basis. Over time, the surface of an extractor hood will also get dirty, collecting grease and dust. For this reason, it is important to clean the exterior of your appliance. Cleaning your cooker hood's exterior is a relatively simple task, just follow the below steps:

1. Before cleaning your appliance, please isolate the hood from the electrical supply by switching it off at the isolation switch. Alternatively, if the appliance has been connected through a plug socket, the plug must be removed from the socket.
2. Using a damp cloth, carefully wipe down the outer surface of your appliance.
3. You can also use a neutral liquid detergent or a suitable grease removing product to remove dirt and grim. Please note: do not use abrasive products or alcohol.
4. Make sure to wipe the appliance over with a damp cloth to remove excess detergent/cleaning products.
5. Dry with a cloth and polish with a suitable stainless steel cleaner.
