I have lost the power to my appliance due to a power cut. What should I do to keep my food frozen?

The best way to keep your food frozen in the event of power to the freezer being lost is to keep the door closed. This stops warm air entering the freezer, prolonging the time it will take for the food to defrost. Resist the temptation to remove food and use cool bags - food will remain frozen for around 12 hours if left in the freezer, which is much longer than it would in cool bags.
